I found the Cairns in Denmark pleasing.
Head type and general balance were commendable. Mouths were uniformly correct, eyes mostly good, a few were a little light. Ear placement was generally good as was outlook. Toplines were good, tail sets largely correct though some insisted on pushing the tail towards the shoulders, they are not Fox Terriers.
Movement was sound though not always correct, many toed in either front or rear.
Balance and shape however was maintained in movement. Coats were in good order generally.
On the downside was an excess of substance and bone with some wide forehands.
Attention to upper arm would benefit "standing well forward on four paws".
Perfection is not granted, only the need for improvement. The smaller the faults the more difficult they are to improve without losing other virtues.
Good Luck to thoughtful breeding.
Philip Greenway.
