First of all I would like to thank the Dansk Kennel Klub for inviting me to judge at their international show held on the 30th April and 1st may 2016. I was very happy to have been given cairn terriers on the Saturday to judge and a fantastic entry of 43 dogs. 
On the day it was good to see so many beautiful dogs. My general opinion in regards cairn terriers in Denmark would be that there is a very high concentration of quality animals. 
Almost all had strong but not coarse heads. With lovely ears placement [in both sexes] nice dark eyes. Good strength and length of muzzle, correct mouths. I only had a few who in my opinion who could have had better heads [not enough width]. I was very happy with the texture of coats also soft under coat. Most of the dogs on the day were very well balanced with good conformation and construction. I was also very glad to see lots with correct shoulder placement and top lines. Movement was also very nice. 
I did have a few exhibits that had rabbit type feet and long nails but I’m glad to say it was only in a few exceptions. 
I think overall the cairn terriers I judged have a great future and all the exhibitors and breeders deserve all the credit for keeping this breeds quality to the highest standard. At the end keep on consentrating on breed type and especially construction, as I feel they have got the correct heads already. To end I would like to thank all the exhibitors for entering there dogs under me.
