Dommerrapport
The population of Danish Cairn Terriers is quite nice in general.
The dogs I have judged are of a good size, have dark eyes, correct bite and complete dentition . I like their coat and grooming.
Should you ask me about conformation demerits I would suggest you to take care of correct topline proportions as normally back (thoracic part ), loins (lumbar part) and sacrum (rump, i.e. croup upper part) should create ratio 2:1:1. That proportion "2:1:1" is valid for the majority breeds conformation. It's resulted by the "Golden Section" which is the universal form-building principle. You could read about that in my husband Dr. Eugene Yerusalimsky book "Dog conformation ad its evaluation" available in "Our dogs". That proportion provides strong and solid topline, deep chest as well as better front and rear angulations and body format.
Dogs I have judged were a bit too long in loins and only strong enough in back especially when moving.
Besides that I would draw the attention on better shoulder angulations and more pronounced withers that outline neck, withers and back would look more noble.
Their trot also could be better extended.
Sorry if I'm too critical, but I believe that its better to be honest. Hope that my remarks could be of help to breeders .
With best wishes,
Elena Yerusalimskaya
